thanks I have been practicing a bit, I just finished one of stein from soul eater. I'm not thrilled with the arm and hand but I thought it turned out half way decent and thanks for the advice! I need lots of it if i wanna go into graphic design

Definately!
Also, you should consider that the pros do this kind of stuff up to 16 hours a day.
When I'm in school I draw like 4 hours and on holidays about 8 hours per day. But this is just a most recent habit. In the past I unfortunately tended to be pretty lazy...that cost me so much time...
