Also ich geh jetzt erstmal nächsten Monat zur Vocatium, um mein Portfolio 4 verschiedenen Hochschulen vorzustellen, die mir sagen, wo und was noch zu verbessern ist. Bei der Gelegenheit könnte ich hier auch mal nen paar aktuelle Sachen hochladen...die meisten hier sind ja schon mehrere Monate alt

Dann im Spätsommer Digital Art Convention und nächsten Frühsommer evtl. Spectrum of Fantastic Art...da kann man seine Portfolios auch reviewen lassen

Was für die Bewerbungsmappe auf jeden fall essenziell ist, sind Skizzen und Zeichnungen, vor allem Akt- und Portraitzeichnen gibt Punkte. Bei Games steht Character Design auch noch ganz oben auf der Liste...aber das weißt du wahrscheinlich ja auch schon

Die Schule heißt HTW Berlin. Ich hab mir schon ein Konzept für ein PC Game ausgedacht, bin grade am Charaktere und Creatures designen, so ein ganz klein wenig wie Pokemon. Die Sache ist, ich hab kein "ultimatives" Portfolio, ich hab ja so viel Zeug, da würde ich mir für jede Uni ein Individuelles fertigstellen. ODer eben, wie für die HTW, ein komplett neues machen.
Und Akt und Portrait--- das hört sich eher nach Freier Kunst an, die Game Design etc wollen eher digitale Illustrationen haben glaub ich.

Da ich plane nach der 11. abzugehen (also nächstes Jahr), habe ich mich auf dem Gebiet schon etwas umgesehen.

Es kommt natürlich darauf an, was du machen willst, und wie viel du im Geldbeutel hast.
Schulen wären z.B. die Games Academy, die ich allerdings nicht für Film- sondern nur für Gamedesign empfehlen würde, die Filmakademie in Baden-Württemberg oder macromedia in Hamburg.
Schulen die außerhalb Deutschlands sind gibt es unzählige, Gobelins in Frankreich (2D Animation, ich meine man muss da Französisch fließend sprechen können), Gnomon (exorbitant teuer), FZD für Concept/Industrial Design in Singapur, Art Center College of Design irgendwo in Amerika oder TheArtDepartment, eine Online-Schule mit reichlich Stipendien. Ansonsten Studiengang Kunst oder Design, wenn nichts Besseres zu finden ist.

Das ist das, was mir jetzt so auf die Schnelle einfällt.

Oh das ist ja schonmal ne schöne Liste! Jau ich kenn die Macromedia, und die Games Academy, aber dafür muss man ja um die 800€ im Monat aufbringen ._. Ich werde mich jetzt erstmal in Berlin bewerben, da solls eine gute geben, die dir vor der Bewerbung eine Hausaufgabe gibt, die du bearbeiten musst (auch Game Design, Game Art, das was ich machen möchte)
Aus welchem Bundesland kommst Du, wenn ich fragen darf? :3

Deadfish is just a fun name. Maybe it sounds macabre, but once you will see the logo I'm working on, you will know what the actual intention of the name is.
I like it because it's easy to remember and differs in some way from other nicknames I often see...

And yes you can make a request. I like doing character stuff, mostly humans. Digitally painted or traditionally drawn..this is what I prefer

Llamas are just a way of saying thank you or breaking the ice with someone here on deviantART (also known as "dA"). The idea began way back on April 1st, 2010, and sort of blossomed from there.

You can only give one Llama to another deviantART member once, however, there has been a big subculture with regard to trading points for Llamas and vice versa.

You'll get the hang of it as you become more familiar with the site.

My recommendation would be to give them out often and in the manner of showing appreciation for someone's artwork or possibly having similar interests as yourself.

I even had trouble with just uploading something #
I think I will upgrate to Premium soon...there're just so many functions you can only access if you are Premium..

Yeah ... it is a HUGE community indeed.

I suggest going with a 3 month Premium Membership to begin with just to get the feel of what you can and cannot do with it.

I want to say that the 3 month membership is $7.95 and the year membership is $29.95.

Give yourself some time to upload your own artwork ... best bet is to start a folder of your Favourites and then as you do so, you'll find others that share your interests. Just be sure to leave a comment or emoticon when you fave as feedback for the artist.
