Description Started whilst stewarding the exhibition at St Davids

I had purchased a quantity of green pens intended for the Plague Hare and after a failed attempt at doing him in green. scrapped the drawing..(well I gave it away to a family who visited the exhibition.. for their 3 children to finish..LOL)...

I wanted to go a bit designish on this and make the floweres more graphic rather than natural.

One of the kids.... Elizabeth (9 years old)... I let practise on this one and she put in some of the flowers and grass for me whilst her mum looked on nervously... The prospect of working on the piece didn't faze Elizabeth at all..she got cracking with more enthusiasm than I ever show when working.

It was fun to stand back and watch other visitors to the exhibition watching her at work with amazed expressions..as they assumed she had done all of the drawing..even bigger Lol.

Elegant.  I really enjoy the intertwining twigs motif.

Am I supposed to be flattered?

You cobble together literally hundreds of members work...without asking their permission first.

Then you tell them they are "featured" so they go looking for what they have been "Featured" in...Meanwhile I suppose your page views go into the 100's as well.

Your "feature" is totally pointless and I think it is nothing more than a TOTAL SCAM!

haha what a funny mess I feel for her mother, she must have been quite swamped by the situation.

now, that's the type of "integrating the visitor" I'm trying to promote in our local artists club . But alas, the german art world might well call a rubbish- collage "modern painting", but to think that a visitor might physically engage in the exhibition and produce art himself- unthinkable!

Anyway, what a surprise! After the war and the apocalyptic hare I expected you to advance your drawing style in the dystopian and denaturalised direction that is so popular among the modern digital painters. After all, you're a metal sculpteur, too (as showed in the steampunk)

I cannot express the joy, that DA fixed their uploading process and we got your Art back on display here.

Her mum was a teacher...she was terrified she'd do it wrong. But after I showed Elizabeth how I did it and what I was aiming for..she was full of ideas and suggestions..so I said go ahead..gave her the pens and she was off..cautious at first but getting braver and more confident by the minute...it was a pleasure to see.

The look on her parents face when I said I was stepping out for a cigarette break and to leave her just to get on with it ...was a picture.

When my children were younger I often let them "have a go" on my works. My eldest daughter (DA ID now kickass-peanut) was by the age of 12 a better draughtperson than me and could work confidently in other mediums that left me standing. She did a pastel drawing of a shoal of Tuna that left me thinking even after a year of practise I still could not produce such a vibrant and competant piece of detailed work.

I too am glad that DA sorted out the uploading...I got really angry with them...I tried for days and it took 3 hours to get a piece up and then my computer locked on "Done" I had to shut it down and restart numerous times...

I also noticed how few submissions there were after the change..a few in days compared to 100's per hour...Lets hope they dont fuck it up again.? It was only by chance I was playing with my wife's Ipad a week ago and thought I'd have a go..it worked..

I still think DA should publically apologise for the upset they caused and should have responded far sooner to correcting their cock-up. Instead I am sure they thought it would " just blow over" and deviants would just take what was given to them.

oh that's very cool - bless her, I bet Elizabeth had a blast getting to work on that

Lovely springtime hare, I think the flowers are brilliant.

I@m looking forward to seeing what they do with the green "Plague" Hare...It had better wings than this one. (I boobed using a blue pen one night, thinking it was a lightish black).

Her parents were making suggestions on how to do it...I could see from the look on her face she had made her mind up on what exactly she herself was going to do..My family see it on my face and know when to "back off".

I wrote on the margin "Elizabeth is in charge!" Just to make sure..
