Description Hello everyone!  It's been a while since I last uploaded my work!  I have been very busy and productive for the past half a year.  I finally got my first car I was saving up for the past three years!  It's a pepper white Mini Cooper!  I never understood why people loved their cars so much until I started driving the Cooper around and I have to say I am in LOVE.  I have also been doing a lot of soul searching.  I took a break from digital artwork for a while to focus on my fine arts.  One of the mediums I really have been studying is oil paints (which I don't have a lot of experience working with).  I have to say, it's a lot harder to control than let's say my pencil work, or my digital artwork, but it is so much fun!  Nothing quite like the feeling of a paintbrush flowing on canvas.

For a while now I've been wanting to go visit the state of Colorado. I have a deep love for mountains and their visual appeal, and so in my own way of turning my thoughts into reality, I painted what I envisioned. Driving down the roads in Colorado with the mountains in front of me. This painting means a lot to me. It represents my goals and dreams. I like to think that what I do creatively will affect people in some way. I hope you enjoy it. My heart went into this piece, so I hope it makes you smile.

Based off an image found online.  Painted with oils on canvas.

the shapes and colors are magnificent. My favorite bit is where those two great big clouds meet in the middle of the sky- very crisp, very real.

I think this is beautiful, the colors and the subject matter.  Plus I love Colorado which I visited last summer for the first time.  The colors on your painting are just lovely.

Congrats on the car too!

Thank you so much!  I appreciate your kind words and favorite!

Lucky you!  How was it?  I bet it was an amazing experience!  Especially during the summer where everything's bright and beautiful!  Not a fan of the winter haha.

And thank you once again, I love my Mini haha.

It was just beautiful although I wasn't in the mountains proper, more the west side (Great Sand Dunes National Park) which was just stunning.  Desert, mountains and sand.  Fabulous!  You'll love it I'm sure! Maybe I'll have to try painting something inspired by it myself.

Thank you!  And sure I'd love to take a look at your gallery!  Personally, yes, I feel it's a lot harder than other paint mediums because it's very thick so harder to control and mix, and it takes a long time to dry.  However, the pigment is a lot brighter and oil tends to be more forgiving when it comes to mistakes due to the fact it stays wet.  (You can scrape off the paint or blend in easier.)  It's honestly a lot of fun, I highly recommend it!  It is a little more expensive as well, so keep that in mind, but it is worth it!  I'm still in the learning process myself for oil paints.
