Listening to Billie Holiday made me all nostalgic today.I'm so glad the hard work with the exhibition will be over soon.
Watching this makes my brain shut down in a soothing way.
Lately I tend to think I'm wandering into these paintings and no-one can follow me. It's like my silent sanctuary.
Without going to the art school I was in I don't think I would be able to know when this kind of painting is finished or not.
EDIT: thanks to the good comments I received on HArhakuva.org I noticed some flaws I fixed before going to print. It's bigger now here too
I can't wait for the print it'll look great nex to the 2meter high "Rock Bridges"-print.

you are officially one of my fav deviantartists. i love your paintings, your sanctuaries, your little getaway landsacapes. they remind me of the painter "james coleman". not as mystical as yours, but he seems to have the same idea as you as far as nature is concerned. check him out, you'll love his work.
this painting reminds me of a scenery in the PS2 game, "Shadow of the Colossus". GOOD game with GREAT graphics. it has beautiful landscapes throughout the entire game.
i love how your backround cliff and waterfalls look "thinned" against the sky. the sky is so realistic, too. hazy, soft, and comforting. the lighting on the utopian nenon-green landscape is very appealing. and how you melted the details of the cliff rocks into that big shade on the right.... you're amazing! any day i'd pay to have one of your works up on my wall..

This is a beautiful piece. Somehow, the composition is reminiscent of Rodney Matthews, or at least of the mrmory I have of some of his works, in your own unique style, of course. The atmosphere surrounding the whole picture gives quite a peaceful and dreamy feeling, too, enhanced by the brush strokes.
