Rune had been out and battling all night...It was a lot of fun, the matchmaking actually behaved for once, her teammates were chipper and friendly, and the new stages were BEAUTIFUL! But it got real tiring after a while...seeing she had some time until Tricolor battles began, she decided on taking a break, and getting something to eat.

Exiting the lobby, she was greeted with all sorts of extravagant halloween decorations, and bright fireworks and drones lighting up the night sky...Of course, someone drew an Among Us character on one of the drone...display...things.

"That funny bean seems to show up everywhere nowadays..."

As she made her way over to a fast food place, a mysterious figure spied on her from the shadows...And you'll never guess who it is.

"AH...SO YOU DARE LEAVE, AND MOCK ME, YET AGAIN? HOW ODD..."

Yep. It was Maria. Shocker.

She took note of something odd hanging off of her leg...a ripcord. Maria grinned.

"OH SCARLETT...YOU'RE MAKING THIS TOO EASY..."

With a flick of her hand, purple energy forms around the suit's ripcord ring, and tugs it out, activating the suit's hidden mechanism!

A loud poof and a startled yelp can be heard, as Rune's suit inflated, and lit up, like actual Jack-o-Lanterns! Safe to say, everyone around her was caught a little off guard. Leaving Rune in quite the awkward situation...

"Uhhhh....Eh, Ah'm just a stack-o-pumpkins, nothin' to see here!"

Rune giggled a little bit, along with a lot of the others which had watched her sudden spectacle! Not at her, but with her, as some came over to check out her bizarre costume!

Maria was quite confused, as why she seemed so excited and happy to see her costume inflated...why was she not panicking, like before? She was about to waltz on out to speak down on her again, but as she turned the corner, she stopped, dead in her tracks.

All over her inflated costume, neon green runic symbols flickered to life. See, Rune had come to expect Maria would try something like she did...so she enchanted her suit, with a reversal curse! So if any magic, any magic at all, was used on it, the curse would trigger, affecting the one using magic on it! Maria, in this case.

Oh, and even better, it was made so that only the one affected by the curse can see the fancy light show of symbols on the suit!

She backed up, and prepared to fire off a reversal spell of her own, but it was too late. A beam of symbols shot at her, and she was enveloped in a bright green light, falling back into the alleyway she was hiding in!

Thankfully, no one, save for Rune, seemed to notice. Speaking of whom, it was taking all of the Inkling witch's willpower not to laugh at her plan working - Finally, she had gotten her revenge! This should teach her not to mess with her AGAIN! She would be FEARED-

"Hey, what's this thing made of? Feels like plush, but it inflated, so..."

Rune snapped back to reality to someone feeling the side of her costume.

"O-oh! It's plush, but made so that it could inflate!" Rune replied.

"That's pretty neat..."

"I think, 'fresh' is the word you're looking for!"

"Well, I wouldn't call it that, but....okay yeah, it is pretty fresh."

"Thanku!"

Rune couldn't help but blush at the comments she was receiving. What a night...
