ohh, i see... i WAS gonna pump you full of guilt and remorse by getting you to think of all those people who left you what just may have been a truly sincere and heartfelt comment wishing you happy birthday, or complimenting your writing style, BUT i think that's a bit uncalled for.
by the way! your latest vignette "the opposite of a love letter" was amazingly and eerily synonymous with how i was/am feeling towards this certain PERSON, and i just wanted to say that i really enjoy finding flashes of similarity in others. i know it's a silly thing, cuz we're all the same and la-la-la, but sometimes it just feels like i'm on a stranded island sometimes, and reading stuff like yours, it's like receiving a little message in a little bottle, and it evaporates the very tear it brought to my eye.
SORRY FOR THE ESSAY. i do that in an annoying way :/

You may be swamped with notifications right now, but I wanted to say how glad I am I discovered your work. 
"Distinction" is amazing, but I also like "they don't have words for this", "freudian slips", and "the science of us". (I've only read a few, though.) And your portrayal of sweaty-palmed, heart-pounding new love takes me back vividly to my own experiences. It's nice to remember the euphoric parts again.
