The North American Gray Wolf, C. Lupis lyacon.

I was actually inspired to paint in this style by a friend's painting, ~HowlWithWolves . I have no clue if she has or ever will upload it, though. It was a coyote, and I loved her fur technique so much I decided to use it as a foundation for this painting. EDIT: Seen here: [link]

This is actually for something called "Secret ArtWorks" - it's run by an art program, ArtWorks, in Cincinnati. I don't know too much about it, but I was very sad to see this guy go.
