Description
When everything you truly care about gets ripped out of your hands in an instant. When you realise your current life is based on a lie, that everyhing you had was never yours. In that moment, when you realise everything you had never were... You break, you break hard and everything just falls to pieces.You're broken.
Nothing remains the same.
I wanted this drawing to portray that moment.
I used a picture which was sent in for my recent Dark Angel Competition on my website. Since it was just a headshot I couldn't use it for one of my angel drawings anyway, but I really loved the look on the girl's face, so emotional and beautiful.

Made with Ink, wanted to keep the drawing rather simple and light as I usually do when I use ink.

You really managed to capture an emoticion very well. I like how it is on the photo, but in your drawing the emoticion is even stronger. I like the contrast between the soft skin and the 'harder' hair. I love the eye you drew. I think it's really great. I think the mouth is a bit less, but it is still okay. (:

I wasn't at the time I made it.. but things got better. Just seems like 2006 wasn't the best year for me. Can only get better now.

Oh yes, I immediately recognized the girl from the picture on your forum: you did an amazing job and really captured the emotion conveyed by the pic, and I think that b&w gives here a brilliant result, more "out of time", to me.
