A papercraft commission of a special camping spot in the Rockies! Working on this certainly made me yearn for the mountains.

I got to look at such beautiful reference photos for this piece, and one of the effects I really wanted to try to replicate was the atmospheric perspective - that cool thing that happens when you look at distant landscape elements, where they appear paler and usually bluer in color the further they are, like they’re melting into the sky. A fun challenge for papercraft! I ended up using layers of blue and white vellum on the furthest mountains, which let the underlying patterns peek through while still adjusting the color.
