She's okay with it...really okay with it...why? Because she's moving on from him.

Probably there is more to it. She is moving from her "previous self". She made decision to concentrate on other "parts of happiness". Also, let's give Kagoem a credit. She is very emphatetic person and she matures. Like in the manga and the show, in Yume's story, Kagome is gaining deeper understanding of Inuyasha-Kikyo bond, so she is not reacting with "sits".
But yeah, she is slowly letting other feelings to his heart and that is the most favorite of Yume's work- subtelty. some things are happening without our notice. Like in real life. Without changing someone for the sake of the shipping.

Yup! The best part of YY's story is that the progress is subtle and but still there. It's like you said; it's like real life where sometimes the biggest changes happen slowly and unknowingly before it bloom for everyone to notice.
I never hated Kagome really. Never quite understood why people were so offended by her doing the "sit" thing; It IS meant to be a gag thing and Inuyasha himself is only mildly annoyed by it most of the time. I do see the childishness in her actions, but still the hate towards her is way too strong than she actually deserves. Same with Kikyo haters.
Anyways, yeah, she definitely gets the chance to mature here because this fan comic doesn't need that childish sits gag, and it is indeed wonderful ^^ Especially since YY's doing such a great job at making Kagome maturing very in sync with her original character.
