My FB page: [link] And it is an illusion indeed.Because it seems like a graphite-charcoal B/W portrait but its not what it seems.I used for this, Albrecht Durer Faber Castell watercolor pencils dry (the whole variety of the warm grays and cool grays plus black and white) and C.Kreul extrafine 0.8mm white for the highlights.It was meant to be a B/W portrait but not a typical one.I didn't expect the watercolor pencils to provide such a detailed work but i did sharpen them very well to make all the tiny lines happen.I am quite happy with the way it turned.

I loved this one my dear,lately i have come to a conclusion.The things i like the most are the things ppl around me pay almost no attention to.So i dont feel like an alien anymore,i choose to just feel blessed.
But every time i check someone paying attention to the things I like,then...i get to have a big smile on my face.

Yes I know what you mean... I draw the things that grab my attention and not exactly what others see or think about so it's really cool when they see things differently and the way I see them

Σ'ευχαριστω πολυ Κατερινα μου,καποτε μου εκανε εντυπωση ξερεις το γεγονος οτι τα συγκεκριμενα εργα μου που αρεσουν σε ΕΜΕΝΑ δεν αρεσουν σχεδον σε κανεναν αλλον,γιαυτο το εκτιμω παρα πολυ οταν καποιοι (οπως εσυ προφανως) καταφερνουν να ξεπερασουν την στενωπο του "δημοφιλους" και να δουν πραγματικα κατι γιαυτο που ειναι.
Καταλαβες τωρα οτι το συγκεκριμενο ειναι απο τα αγαπημενα μου!

Υπέροχο έργο. Η εκφρασή του είναι εκπληκτική καί με τα μάτια λέει τόοοσα πολλά.Δημοφιλή;;;;; Δέν ξέρω τι ορισμό να δώσω σ'αυτό ή μάλλον δέν θέλω....

μπορεις Κατερινα μου να δεις (δυστυχως καθημερινα) τον ορισμο του δημοφιλους αν κανεις browse την πρωτη σελιδα του DA,ξερεις ποια λεω,την popular 24h.Λοιπον καποιες φορες απλα γελαω,καποιες θελω να βαραω το κεφαλι μου στον τοιχο.Μετα απο 16 μηνες στο site εχω αντιληφθει πληρως οτι αυτα που αξιζει να τα δει κανεις ειναι στην 5 σελιδα και κατω,κοινως αυτα που αξιζουν ειναι αυτα που οι περισοτεροι εδω μεσα απαξιουν να δουν.
Ποσο μαλλον να καταλαβουν!

Το ξέρω καλή μου που μπορώ να τα βρώ... Απλά εγώ δέν γελάω πάντα, υπάρχουν φορές που βρίζω .... Τα δημοφιλή δυστυχώς είναι αυτά που με πολλούς τρόπους μας έχουν εκπαιδεύσει να τα θεωρούμε ως τέτοια.Είναι κυρίως άχρωμα καί άοσμα..είναι εντελώς επιφανειακά ωραία καί τίποτα άλλο.. Αυτό όμως δέν είναι καί το ζητούμενο στή ζωή τών περισσοτέρων;;;

yep a bit different as in the aspect that i doubt anyone could have guessed the medium i used... i am quite happy with it,graphite smudges so much its annoying.No smudging here,just the whole variety of grays,in fact this is a color portrait but it looks like b/w.
