you know, looking out the window of a motel room once i saw something that looked quite similar to this. i love looking at the city through warped glass, but was this such a case? Sorry, i know you must get about 10 million comments now that you've won the award, but should you find my comment i would like to know where you took this picture.

Actually it is not "through" a warped glass, it is taken from a street in New York, and it is simply the reflection of a building in another one. The panels not being totally flat cause the distortion.

ah! i see, well that also makes as much sense as what i personally see each time i go to the library. they have this glass thats a bit damaged and it's rippled kind of and so the places outside look all weepy like in your picture.

sorry, what i meant to say is, when i was living in California there was some warped glass in the local library i went to. Here in Australia where i'm at now, there isn't much to do or places to go, so i photograph wildlife and fires. mainly fires.
