Here he is 12~13 years old.My friend said here he wouldn't be in orphanage.And the expression in his eyes couldn't be so simple.
But I just want to see the scene.
As usual, I can't control myself to show him a beautiful face……

Actually, he would have been at the orphanage, during the summer time, since Dumbledore didn't let him stay at Hogwarts no matter how many times he asked. And I don't think it looks as simple as all that. Emotionless, maybe, which is exactly how he'd be.

It really is a lovely portrayal, it is how I have always imagined him; disdainful, indifferent, and calculating.

I actually like the simplicity; Tom's face is simply apathetic, uncaring to who is painting him. At this point he knows no one will ever truly care for him, and he's accepted that he's going to be alone for the rest of his life. Or at least that's what I see on his face. Uncaring curiosity, and a knowledge that the only one who will ever look after him is himself.

I love it. He just looks so unhappy to be there, especially knowing there is somewhere else he can be. I imagine this to be during the summer, when he's forced to go back to the orphanage and he's just waiting for it to be September so he can go back to Hogwarts. I just adore his face.

You've really captured his personality here. The colour choices play quite the part in it, showing his mood and the atmosphere of the orphanage in general. This probably was one of the moments in which he went closer to the path that made him Lord Voldemort, who is considerably less cute and pretty than Tom Riddle, even though, yeah, they are, of course, the same person.
