Description
Tool: BlenderThis optical illusion gif involved a bit of masking wizardry, but the result was worth it.
Everyone says it hurts their brain. I don't get that.

Now,...create this in 3D since you understand its Paradox. Have it twirl around. Or Collaborate with:

Demonstrating that the object is not really impossible, it just doesn't have the shape one tends to assume when one sees it from a particular viewpoint. But I suspect that the ball would appear to grow and shrink, like people in a certain distorted room...

Nice! Kind of how a mobius strip with 4 sides might behave.

But it only has three sides!

I stand corrected. But much as the mΓΆbius strip is only one side (with the illusion of two) this has 3 sides (with the illusion off four) which is what I was trying to get at.
Anyway... Still nice work. Mind if I ask what program(s) you used to create it?

He says in the description he used Blender. Which is free by the way.

I stared at this for so long, I am totally obligated to fave it.
This is a really neat twist on the original illusion, and you executed it excellently. I like how this ties the idea of a one-sided Mobius Strip to the Penrose Triangle.

That's a really awesome idea, and great execution. It might be a bit better if the color values were more different between the two surfaces on the far right, though.
