Drew this a few weeks ago and wrote the poem below around the same time.
I've been sketching a lot of non-fanart pieces lately and am really enjoying it haha
Also, I'm posting this here not to make anyone sad, or to complain, but instead to hopefully bring comfort. I think that art can be very expressive and it is because of this that we can connect with specific pieces and there's something healthy about relating to each other on a human level.

Dear sister,
beloved friend,
usher them in
and show them the wonders of heaven.

They were ours for a time,
borrowed,
cherished,
and now they take residence
on the shores of forever
I'll see them in the crowds,
deceitful is the heart that needs repair,
but I saw you in the crowds,
remaining not, is my despair
but never answered by human tongue, is the question "why do all the good die young?"
Dedicated to the ones I'll never forget - Danielle, Jordan, Evan; my heart is heavy.
