earlier, i was browsing 's gallery (check it out, she's really good!) and i felt inspired.
i used to draw horses and other animals a lot when i was younger, but i haven't in a while.

anywhoo, this is a thestral, from Harry Potter. they are described as skeletal horses with leathery wings that you can only see after you have seen death.

as you can see, i did not feel like drawing wings.

they were probably the only redeming factor of the fifth movie. (besides Bellatrix, of course)

they were pretty close to how i imagined them, even though my drawing is a little different.

this was done in photoshop.

thestrals are the property of jk rowling. i, sadly, do not own them.

so don't sue me.
