Description
From wikipedia: (cos I'm too lazy to write it myself) "a phantasmal group of huntsmen with the accoutrements of hunting, horses, hounds, etc., in mad pursuit across the skies or along the ground, or just above it. The hunters may be the dead, or the fairies (often in folklore connected with the dead). The hunter may be an unidentified lost soul, a deity or spirit of either gender, or may be a historical or legendary figure.Seeing the Wild Hunt was thought to presage some catastrophe such as war or plague, or at best the death of the one who witnessed it.
Others believed that people's spirits could be pulled away during their sleep to join the cavalcade."
Strongly inspired by Dore's engravings (and loud thunderstorm at 5am xD). I've finally finished it, woohoo!
Black ink, dip pen, white gel pen,

The technique you used really suits the theme I think. The whole composition and the way you used light makes this look 'epic' in the way of a great, mythical epos.
What I like the most about this technique is the fact that you slowly discover more details, which is awesome, because I tend to look longer and more secure to this kinda drawings. Must've been one hell of a work, how long did it take you?
Anyway, great job, a pleasure for the eye! (and I needed that, after my first day at school)

I'm not sure how long did it take me... I worked on it one hour there, one hour there.. from time to time. So, hard to tell! But I think more than usual, maybe it's because of the bigger size.
I'm very happy when someone likes my b&w works. It makes me feel my work is worth the effort. Thanks.

Simply amazing work. I can't even fathom how line work is done this way. Its so detailed, but everything stands out so well.

I love Gustave DorΓ©'s work, and this is spot on! I could totally tell without reading your discription that this was inspired by his work - amazing.
The drama and expression in this is astounding...I can't say more other than I love it!
