When I was working on Marble's portait I had a very different energy in a good way, there was no tiredness even after doing hours & hours of detailing. God bless the soul.
I have posted closeup pics of the details and a little description (will post a complete process video soon)
The eyes - Initially I was not getting the right color using only pencils, since it had to be right amount of blue & green. So used another medium to get the base color & worked the tiny bits with pencils.
The nose - It's divided into 3 parts the smoothness in front, the rough in the middle, the fur starting to show in top. Used different techniques to get these done.
The Ears - Had very contrast texture with very smooth shiny parts & sharp hair on top. Had to burnish a lot to get the smoothness.
The Fur - Probably the most challenging portion when you are creating animals. The sharp hair on the head and the camera blur DOF effect on the body. The below part was more tough than i thought.
The whiskers - I used a combination of pencil and marker to get them right.
