My second armour set and boy am I glad it turned out perfectly fine with very little problems at the con! Will be doing some minor repairs to address the problems that surfaced over prolonged wearing of the armour, other than that everything's fine. Well, it IS my first time building a full suit of armour out of foam, so I did not expect certain problems...

Funny. Because my Shepard always had short, redish hair, prefered the lighter looking armor (ME3-style, were the "hinge"-parts were rather light)...and she was always a sniper.

wow, that's your first time building armor from foam?! it looks amazing! Those look like the fairly thin pads, too. All of you talented people make me want to try my hand at armor haha. Great job!

Well, my previous armour set (my first one) was made with mounting board, so I merely used the techniques and knowledge from that on foam. The idea of armour making is mostly the same, plus prior to making this armour I've also been making some props and smaller armour pieces with foam, just to get the hang of it.
Armour making is fun... once you have the basic techniques down, it's all up to you to try new things ^^
