This is based on a couple of reference photos taken from the balcony of my hotel room in Mexico City in June 2018, but taking some liberties with the composition.

It was my first time in Mexico and Latin America. I was intrigued by the atmosphere of the huge city and waking up at weird times, because jet lag.

It was painted as a part of the course remembered landscape at the Leith School of Art in July 2018. The painting is acrylics with not single blob of oil paint, which is unusual for me.
