how do you line them up so perfectly on paper? do you mark them out first or just dive straight in and end up lucky

Heh, wish I was that good, but no I mock them up on the computer and get it all sized and lined up to a way I like, and then just trace a few markers over to the paper to get me started on the drawing. Once again, thanks for the comment, it is so lovely to get them after working on something

This is prismacolour pencils, a few of them were water soluble ones so there's a little watercolour-esque stuff going on there too. These were just the cutest dogs, they kept fighting with eachother when I was trying to take the photos -> ([link] )

Oh gosh, these little guys are Smooth Fox Terriers, right? (I'm really sorry if that went wrong!) I just love that breed and it's really joyful to see this kind of art - you rarely see this amazing portraits of Fox Terriers. I adore those brilliant expressions and as ~LiterallyFooled said, the paper looks great. You also have good eye of colour and details!

I believe they are Jack Russells, but I must admit I am not exceptionally hot on my terrier breeds. I think the slight beardyness of Jacko gives him a fox terrier look. Thanks so much for the kind words either way

Oh sorry, these are Jack Russells after all...! Darn, I don't understand how I always confound those breeds with each other, eventhough our family's dog is a Smooth Fox Terrier and all...
