Yeeess, more Portal fanart.
(again, sorry to my watchers who are sailor moon fans. I feel kinda bad for bombarding you with little but portal for the past few weeks...)
If you can't read my handwriting, the top left speech bubble reads "Now she'll say she can't - she's modest like that... but you MAKE her!" (that's a quote from the ultimate Cave Johnson, and the one to the right of that is GLaDOS thinking to herself "So that's why I killed them all...".
I wanted to draw GLaDOS a bit more emotional here. Maybe her actually crying is a bit out-of-character, but oh well.
I reckon that when GLaDOS flooded the enrichment centre with a deadly neurotoxin, she couldn't remember exactly why she did it.. and when she realises that she is Caroline she remembers how angry and sad she was when they forced her to become GLaDOS...
Also, although I don't really believe the theory about GLaDOS being Chell's biological mother, I believe that she becomes a strong motherly-figure for Chell as she has always been there for her... well, if trying to kill her counts as 'there'. XD;;; Anyway, I really love the love-hate relationship between these two. C:

GLaDOS and Chell are so realistic until the little "Go team Chell!" sketch, I'm not sure which drawing type I like better.

Well in Portal 2 after Wheatley takes control of the facility, and POtADoS is being carried by Chell, one of Wheatley's lines is copying GLaDoS (aka- "let's try it her way... fatty... adopted fatty...etc.) And one of GLaDos' quips after that is to say to Chell, that yes, she was adopted but that didn't make her less of a person. And also if you look at the big potato batteries that's growing into the facility while Wheatley's still guiding you around and making fun of the children's science prodjects, and you go up to it and read the tag, it says "by Chell" in the corner. So that would lead you to believe that Chell is Caroline and Cave's adopted daughter, although I'm not convinced that she became a test subject on "Bring your daughter to work day". I can't really explain why, but something tells me that it was a little later; then again, I've been wrong before.

YES! In fact, GLaDOS IS Chell's mother, Caroline, I watched a video that provides all the necessary proof of that. Its a very great video...but I don't remember how to find it anymore! T-T but when I get it I will send you a link, you'll love it.

It isn't actually too out of character for her to cry. Maybe as GLaDOS but not as POTAToS (or however you spell it XD). I always did like the relationship between these two as well. That's why I was in tears at the end XD
All in all, I love these sketches, especially the bottom one

I love this! I feel the same about her not being her biological mother but rather after the bring the daughter to work day more of a step mother as GLaDOS goes on about how she is adopted plus the oprea song at the end translates to

You don't believe GLaDOS being the biological mother? {Prepare for some rambling}
Caroline is GLaDOS, and Caroline was married to Cave Johnson. {"Married to Science"}
Chell's full name is Chell Johnson {As I've been told}, which proves she's related to Cave in some form. I'm supposing Chell had to be adopted, because Cave and Caroline's daughter couldn't have been brought up in Aperture. But then I guess it was to do with the "Bring your daughter to work day" with Caroline ... Then I'm not sure after that. :I
But anyway, I love the expressions, and I think GLaDOS crying shows she has a soft side, which from Portal 2, we knows she does~.

Her last name being "Johnson" wouldn't necessarily prove that she was Cave's biological child, he and Caroline may have legally changed her last name.

No, but she would still have a connection to GLaDOS. I just suppose this because that may have been why GLaDOS blatantly had a soft-spot for her. If she didn't, she probably would have killed her long before the end of Portal 1.

And even if it wasn't her biological child, a mother is a mother and still has feelings for that child. Gotcha.

That's exactly what the theory I've been developing is! That GLaDOS's pent up rage was all the remaining emotions from Caroline, but she soon forgot it all as GLaDOS became more in control a bit after the transfer, though since Caroline still existed in her somewhere the emotion still remained without her knowledge of why she was that way.
Never imagined her this emotional though, I like it, but in my head she remembers yet she's still very impersonal to it since it really wasn't her it happened to. Though that may be because I'm a firm believer in the square-rectangle concept with GLaDOS (square is a rectangle but a rectangle isn't a square) I think Caroline is GLaDOS but GLaDOS isn't Caroline.
Regardless, love it.

I've never found anyone that thought that way about Caroline!
Because, apparently, when she was first created she'd try and kill them as soon as they switched her on... so it always made me think she was just lashing out at them for what they did to her.
And, I think if Caroline was to truly take over GLADoS she probably would (if she can) cry after everything she's been through and done.
This is wonderful work, it really is!

I feel the same way about the whole biological parents thing. It's obvious that Caroline may have been Chell's mother, but GLaDOS and Caroline are two completely different people.
I love the bottom right one, that's what I usually think of when I connect POTaDOS to a humanized personality. It just seems fitting that she would be weaker as a potato because then it makes her seem a little more drawn to human nature.

Your Portal art is pretty impressive. I like how you designed GLaDOS here, and Chell doesn't look that bad, either.
