Description
First of all, thanks so much to ~plugz for helping me all the way with this one. There's no real story behind this. I worked fairly hard though and am proud of it, so I hope you all like it too. Symmetry all throughout time has been a beautiful thing, we can see it in some of the world's most famous architecture and paintings. To be immersed in symmetry would be a beautiful thing I suppose, everything is perfect. Everything just so brilliantly astounding, so much it hurts.

you could really succeed as a designer, girl! I love the composition of this, really depicts drowning. the hair is great for a vector - seems almost real.

So pretty!
I like how you used such soft colors that they almost blend into the background but then on certain parts you use a outline to make them pop back out. Which a lot of times would have killed the effect but on this it really helps because of the select places you decided to put it. Especially around her eyes.
Great job!

wow, the spectral quality blew me away.
and i love those exclamation marks.
[ like theres some deeper message its alluding to,
but then that could just be my bs.generator going haywire...]
if i could nit.pick at anything about it,
gah, are you sure you want critique?
its already impressive.

Haha, I like the idea of the bs generator. I'm not sure if there's any real meaning but I'm sure if we brought in some phiolosophers we could sort this all out...

Man, I love how fluid your style is. It always manages to impress me each and every time. You've far surpassed anything I could ever try to do. You're an artistic genius and one of my favourite upcoming vector artists.
As usual, fantastic job here. Wonderful work with the eyes, especially.

The eyes are really awesomely done and so is the background tones on her skin. It would be really interesting to see you do a full image (complete background, pose, lighting, etc) in this style.

o_________o That scares me!! You're crazypatient. I would've absolutely collapsed by the 50th layer! If you're going to spend so much time on something, I'm definitely +watching you!

this is the best piece iv seen. the hair is so well done it looks realistic. and i just love your general style. how you shade by using a thousand layers/transparencies. its so unique and pretty. the face is a little eerie because of it, but i love it all the same. i would love to know where you learned to do that. or if you just developed it yourself. either way, i wish i had talent like you. amazing job. look forward to seeing more.

turp In reply to sandyclaws [2005-02-15 02:32:03 +0000 UTC]
Lol, a thousand and two layers to be exact. I developed it on my own just because I hate Illustrator but the only way to get a nice soft look is with gradients. This is my version of a gradient haha.
