So this is my first submission. It's for the book series NERDS: National Espionage, Rescue, and Defense Society. I haven't seen a single piece for it so far, and I'm thinking that's probably because there aren't any fans on dA. But despair not. I am responsible for more NERDS fanfiction on FF.net than any other writer, and I plan to infect this site as well. MWA-HA-HA.

This was done in pencil. What it basically is is the five main characters (the NERDS team) drawn from the neck down. My explanation is that when I draw heads and faces, it often comes out looking stupid. So I thought I'd draw their bodies first, prove to my audience that not everything I draw looks stupid, and then post this one again later after I've drawn in their heads.

In case you can't read my tiny captions, from left to right they are Jackson, Duncan, Matilda, Flinch, and Ruby. They're essentially wearing the same outfits they're wearing on the inside cover of the first book, though with some minor creative justice. There is also some creative justice taken on the posing.

Michael Buckley created these characters and Ethen Beavers designed them. I'm just doing my interpretation.
