It's like a Theme and Variations on the circle. Listen to Mozart's
Piano Sonata in A Major, first movement. VEry XmaSy!!!! Sort of.

It's the one that ends with the Turkish Rondo. I had to play the Theme and Variations for
a piano committee ~ (4 piano teachers) at University, when I studied music there. Playing for
anybody makes my hands turn to ice. One really has to appreciate the pros ~ losing one's nerves
is quite the challenge. Fortunately I was NOT a piano major, but music theory and comp. Long
time ago....!!!!

As a pianist, I'm a hack. I play a great deal by ear. Oh, every once in a while,
I scan the internet for free downloadable pieces, all the wayΒ from John Dowland to
John Lunn's(?) (Downton Abbey, just because I want to 'collect' them to my
repertoire. But I HATE READING NOTES, they slow me down!!!! And as a youngster,
I fell in love with the Lutheran Hymns, so i have a bunch of them in mind ~ ever Sir
Hubert Perry's Jerusalem I thank goodness for my ears. When I was 3, I always
sat and listened to my mom play the standards of her day ~ so I fell in love with Gershwin,
Porter and a lot of 'Light Classics.' Hey...thanks for writing Trish.
