Description
9ish hours, mouse colouring over felt pen lineart, Paint Shop Pro.Sometimes, I have the random urge to draw Keid. I've had many attempts at depicting them in their jungle, and this is yet another attempt. The one nearest to us is Roda, the younger (but bigger) brother, and further away is Toro, the older brother and the one in all my other Keid drawings.
I quite like this style to be honest!

No, because they look like they're wearing tribal facepaint.

This is great. It would be the perfect style to use in a graphic novel.

This piece has such an incredible impact, mostly because of the colors. On the left, highlighting the characters is a nice soft orange glow, and on the right, showing some incredible detail in the leaves of the tree is a bright blue coming from the sky. I really love the effect you did on the sun hitting the water and rippling, and especially the cute birds sitting by the two boys. And I most definitely love the boys. Great work!

Yay, Keid!
I really love this pic. I like anything about the Keid, but this is just awesome, with the pose and expressions and overall mood of relaxing and chatting the time away.

I've been looking at this drawing for some time now, and it just keeps speaking to me. The poses and facial expressions have this remarkably complementary quality to them. I guess because I'm not used to seeing your work with two characters, the subtle conflicting emotions of the boys really creates a deep interest within me.
Roda's expression alone seems to convey confidence with a hint of interest, but when it's combined with his pose, the boy appears so much more strong. Meanwhile, although somewhat highlighted, Toro has fallen into the background. Almost as though he's embarrassed or ashamed. Maybe it's partly his reliance on Roda for a safe place to live, inverting the big brother role.
It's a very different version of Toro than I'm used to. With the way he's almost curling up, his entire body language seems to display unease. It looks to me like both of the boys are looking at Jaro. I'm guessing Roda's flashy bling are gifts from Jaro too. That subtle difference between the boys adds an interesting touch to this drawing.
Emotional aspects aside, there are some specific things that I really like about this technically. The rippling water almost looks computer rendered on first glance. I like the way you did that.
The detail on the clothing and accessories really makes this for me. I keep finding little things that I like about it. I totally love the body paint addition. It seems so much more tribal (ants & barbs much ;D). You should definitely keep that in future Keid drawings.
As always, I love to see your work. Keep it up

I have completely forgotten what the Keid people are. I need to read through your library again. Nonetheless, it is still an awe-inspiring piece.

Love it! I like the style as well, it's like a cross between your hyper realistic style and your anime/manga style. I find it an interesting mix of the two, as it doesn't look like either one.
Really love the picture.

I really love the hair with these two. As wet as it looked, it's bunched up and looks like feathers. I think that's totally realistic. Along with all the other tiny details of course.

They both look nice! 8D
I'm especially enthralled by how the light shines on them (and those shadows of the leaves!), and the water reflection.
