This is for the exchange-palooza summer event for phoenixesper , and the OC of theirs I picked to draw was Terra Minerva because the artist said she preferred this particular character to be drawn.

Terra is actually a lizard-person of sorts (though I drew her human form), so that inspired me to use #7 on the palette challenge for her skin, as the green kind of reminds me of a lizard. Everything else color-wise was based on what looked good with the palette (I used the grays in the background so they would not stick out as much). As a note, every single color on here was from the #7 palette, either the exact color or a blend of two of the colors (and the blends were only used for the shading). I'm not sure that the colors ended up working for the picture overall, but at least it looks striking? 9_9

As for the picture itself, I was also trying to go for a color-themed subject, and my best attempt at that was the fact that she's holding up a piece of jewelry, as she likes making jewelry. Not that the jewelry has much color, but I didn't want it to blend in with the skin or clothing, so light gray and blueish white it was. Since Terra lives in the wilderness, I put in some foresty background elements.

(I think I screwed up her left arm, but by the time I noticed it was off I was already mostly done with the piece, so... hopefully it still looks decent?)

I finished this tonight, but I had done the sketch and color planning a week or two ago.
