Grand Hotel - Mackinac Island, MIThis was one of the horses pulling the Grand Hotel carriage used for taking us down to the ferries. This one was such a beautiful chestnut color and looked so noble in the morning sun performing his duty.
You're not allowed to touch any of the carriage horses, so I had to settle for just giving it some kind words and noises to show him what a beautiful horse he was.

I think just so they don't get distracted or anything by too many people trying to touch them or even just keep from from getting startled.

Besides, I TOTALLY got my horse fix when we went on an hour and a half horse trail ride by ourselves on two horses called Maverick and Goose. We were making Top Gun references the whole time. LOL
