Description
In the Undertale AU Wisetale, Papyrus grew up an orphan on the streets. One day the royal scientist WD Gaster found Papyrus and took him in as a son. Papyrus gave one of his fingers for Gaster to use in the experiment that would create Papyrus brother, Sans . Papyrus is very protective of his brother, and is one of the few monsters who knows of how Sans was created (along with Alphys, Asgore, Undyne , WD Gaster, and Sans himself) which is why Papyrus get so angry when Sans is lazy.

He suffers from depression, but he hides it behind an act of being happy just like the classic Papyrus. He sees a therapist behind Sans back to help deal with his mental issues. His popularity for the fighting skills he perfected in his youth doesn't make him feel better, as it only serves to remind him of the youth that haunts him. Frisk is the only one who knows about this, and she is very protective of him and tends to worry a lot. He's also incredibly street smart.
