The figure reminds me of a tombstone angel, maybe this is a symbol of a memory of something long gone but always cherished dearly.

You nailed it perfectly. Something gone, but always in the heart. I molded the piece after a tombstone angel, and I figured it was a perfect symbol of something that has passed, A stone figure, not alive, but still has a presence.
