Somewhat of a redraw of this I guess?It's disappointing that I don't really see much improvement orz (then again it's like, almost a year's difference and I don't draw PokΓ©mon often...)
But yeah I started off liking this
Then kinda didn't
Then just kinda attacked with overlays and stuff yeah
Lucario belongs to Nintendo/Gamefreak/whoever actually owns PokΓ©mon

Er mah gerd. Can I just say that this is the best drawing of Lucario that I've ever seen, and that I want to hug that Lucario right now? The angle, the lighting, the background, the everything...

Lucario is the best Pokemon, yes!
You have definitely improved, and I'm here to tell you why. (warning, mini critique ahead hehe)
I really love how this one has this simple but eyecatching perspective to it. Very intruiging to look at. owo
And just like everyone else has been saying, dem trees.
And even though I do love all of the different colors and overlays, I think you added a bit much. You seemed to add color overlays in most of the picture, when I think it would look better if it mainly surrounded the Lucario, but most importantly, the aura sphere. It takes the attention away from the little details of the picture, like all of the great details in the leaves/bark of the tree. It was done so nicely, but I feel the color overlay takes away most of the attention away from that. Little details are very important, I say.
I think next time (if you do decide to redo this or just do another picture similar to this) that you add some glow around his eye. Red eyes are very attention-grabbing, so if you draw attention to it, then your audience will just awe in amazement.Β
As for anatomy, I absolutely love how the hips/legs came out. They're, like, perf. *__*
Head shape is nice too.
Little thing, but the tail could be thicker. That really doesn't matter though, I just thought I'd throw that out there. xD
The thing bothering me most though, is the arms. I'm not really sure how to explain it since I'm not good with human anatomy like at all (and parts of Lucario are very similar to human anatomy) but it just looks off to me. I hope you know what I mean 'cause I really don't know how to explain it. xD"

Pff had it not become apparent yet that I can't draw the upper/front limbs of, like, anything /shot
I know what you mean about like, the overlay spamming and such... (although I don't think the leaves are that interesting to look at it's just brush abuse) I mainly add them in there because I really don't like the way the colours have turned out, and to me it looks better with than without... though I guess nobody actually sees it without the overlays in the first place :T

I can't explain why, but the color overlay doesn't look so abused by thumbnail, like it looks more centered around the aura sphere like I was talking about so you can see the tree details better. I dunno, try it.

Actually I just kinda drew a bunch of scribbly lines for the trunks and spammed the vine brush for the leaves =u=;; (My background style, ladies and gentleman.)
