As a huge fan of the Higurashi series, this brings up a strange feeling. A feeling of completion. I feel like with this image, Higurashi feels complete to me. Because now I feel like this how the VNs and the Mangas and the Anime was suppose to end, with an older Rika, in some far away place, enjoying the peace she and everyone else fought for.
The life she fought for. All of the horror she and everyone else had to go through is over now. Life can not just return to peaceful days but continue on. She isn't stuck in that June of 1983 anymore. She's free.

Good use of several shades of blue~ really convey the refreshing feeling you're angling. You might want to retouch/repaint the BG though! JPEG artifacts everywhere (I assume you upscale a personal photo
