I only just saw How to Train Your Dragon 2 and...Oh.
My.
God.
It is a really good cartoon - once again I am seriously surprised at the quality of it, both in graphics and in storytelling (and the messages it sends). Though obviously it wasn't perfect, it was still pretty amazing.
Anyway, I loved Valka, she's a really interesting character and That scene in which she appears over the clouds is so striking I had to do my own version ^^ The only problem is I'm not sure whether those clouds look like clouds ... or trees. It was still a good exercise and her design is extremely interesting to replicate!
Had a lot of fun with this one.

Yeah - I completely agree with you! The art and the cinematics were breathtaking in HTTYD2 but the story had some pretty serious plot holes and some inconsistencies.... it was still a great movie despite that, a little like Frozen.
