Guess who?
Askew View, thats who!
Our first baby recovered so rapidly from her fall and subsequent broken leg that we were sure the veterinarian grossly exaggerated the extent of the injury. What was supposedly a spiral fracture was a greenstick break, what was mental damage was biting her tongue and knocking herself silly.
We discovered that the vet on staff at the Cup had been overcharging and over stating injuries for some time, to give himself a bigger name for 'saving' horses. Jeremy neared killed him.
As for the gardener? We have no idea what happened to him. Nor does anyone else. Not even his wife.
Within two days of the accident, so says our farm manager when we aren't around...we have no idea how our address got leaked...our entire front gate was plastered in roses, violets, dandelions, small drawings and cards from school children and well wishers, all expressing their hope that Askew would get better quickly and that they would see more of her in the future.
With her newfound celebrity status, and that of her white mother, Askew was sitting high in everyones minds, and with that status, suddenly everyone was worried about that weird coloured big filly out of Visions by Awry.
When everything settled again, we are happy to announce Askew's good health, and future successes.
For our fifth season, barring an unforeseen circumstances, and Askew's good health, she'll be joining our Merry band of broodmares in her fifth year. :3
