This is very well drawn and her expression is lovely...I like you shaded her face in which gives it a softness around her chin and nose...it's a sensitive portrait that is peaceful to look upon~~ Nice work!

Thank you Eva!!
Ya, my original intention behind this portrait was to capture the softness of the piece. I experimented with a lot of new things to get the effect and i hope its close. I concentrated a lot on the face since the essence of the whole portrait reflects from her face, specially the shade on her eyes.. Thanks again..

wow that is beautiful!!! you did an awesome job capturing the essence of her beauty-- her eyes, for the most part, draws you in immensely giving her a sense innocence yet a sort of solitude. the blending and highlights of her face are awesome-- i see that you tried the cotton swabs and how do you feel about them? all in all i love it!!
she actually kind of looks like me haha... except my eyes are bigger and i have short, choppy hair. i guess all asians look alike.

Cotton swabs works wonderfully.. specially while blending the soft areas.. I guess its one of the best thing that has ever happened to me, I learned how to use it to get the desired effect. Thanks a zillion for sharing your drawing techniques..
