Description
This is another version of the portrait of my Mother, and it's also an entry to HERO contest by .The picture was taken right after she had a bad fall. She and my Dad went for a stroll and she was actually trying to help my Dad when he slipped. But she was the one who fell instead. She fractured 2 vertebrae in the process.
I admire her patience and her courage, not only with the incident, but with her undying support for my Dad throughout their 59 years in spite of his domineering, moody and strict personality.
It pains me to see her expression here. I know she’s hurting but she’s not even allowed to complain.
About the drawing..I wanted to submit only one version, but I like both and can't make up my mind.

I love this portrait. It's so heartfelt, totally different from the other two winners yet still fits the theme perfectly - which is what I was hoping would happen when I launched the contest!
