Yeah, I have lotsa days like that also. Just grab your camera and go find something to shoot. Sometimes some away time is the best thing for it.

i think if you really want to shoot macro, its third best.

id rank the nikkor 105/2.8VR first
followed by the Tamron 90/2.8


Of course, extension tubes are also a good idea.
