This was bound to happen: My tribute to the Artemis Fowl series, a scene from the last book.
Painting this was nostalgic, and it'll probably be the only AF art for a long time now. But those who got through the book should remember this scene. The book was terrific!! There was some inconsistencies but it turned out alright ---- the scheme is so ...green... or maybe not green enough... Anyway, it was a good painting practice though I find Artemis a bit stiff.
Aww... I'll miss Arty :')

Even though this series was a vital part of my childhood, I put it away after the sixth book, as I felt it differed a lot from the feel of the previous ones and just threw me off, cannot remember the exact reason... but anyway, a couple of weeks ago I started on the Atlantis Complex and when I had finished it I thought... 'my god, I need to follow these characters to the very end' and so I did. And when I had finished the last page in the last book I was overthrown by the unexpected feelings of nostalgia and sadness that came over me. In the end, the only thing I did not enjoy about it was that it had to come to an end. But such is the nature of things, and it was a dignified way to end the series.
This artwork absolutely does the book, the series, and Artemis' legacy justice... a DD well deserved
