This is a tryout for a tiger character that I fell in love with instantly, isn't he gorgeous? I started this as a simple drawing, planning to give it no background... but then I got carried away and two hours later here's the result :3

Name: Kavi
Gender; Male
Age; 2 years
Species; Bengal Tiger
Height; Around 90cm at shoulder (3ft)
Weight; Around 200kg (440lbs)
Background; Kavi has a rare skin pigment, resulting in the light colours that his fur has. He was born to a normal coloured tiger, in a zoo, and because of his rare colouration, scientists took him to do research on him. A little over a year ago, something terrible happened to Kavi. Due to all the research that had been carried out on him, his mind had developed a split persona for himself. This other Kavi is uncontrollable and destructive, and one day in the research lab after Kavi had to endure some particularly distressing tests his mind took control of his body, and the other Kavi emerged to kill everyone in the lab and escaped. Kavi has no recollection of his past, and he has been wandering, searching for an answer to his amnesia. Kavi also carries around with him a pendant (not seen in this image) with a single blue crystal set in it, the background of the necklace is unknown, but it is the only clue to his past and he has carried it with him ever since.
Personality; Kavi is somewhat of a loner, in general he keeps himself to himself, and avoids contact with other animals as much as possible. He enjoys exploring new areas and relaxing in the sun. He's a gentle tiger, preferring to avoid conflict rather than fighting. The other Kavi is destructive, angry, un-controllable and vengeful. He emerges when Kavi is feeling weakened, either physically or emotionally.
Plans For Use; I plan to use this character as one of my main characters that I draw, as I really want to work on my feline anatomy and having a tiger character has always been of great interest to me as I think that they are beautiful animals. I plan to develop his story more in the future (if I'm awarded him) and un-cover the mystery of his pendant.
