Prompt: Heavy Rain
A few days had passed and Shadow had decided to stay in the land of snow, though at the moment it was more the land of sudden showers. following the brown mare, he had found her company refreshing, even if he didnt express it.
The air was thick, but cool, as the two equine tore at grasses made sweet by the plentiful rains and the rich soil. low clouds rolled over the hills, blanketing them in mist as the first pelting drops fell.
Shadow sighed, rain felt nice after being in the desert for most of his life. he had always loved the water, rain, streams, puddles, he felt connected to them, as if it was his duty to care for them. Evie turned her hips towards the incoming rain, much like other horses, keeping her head out of the worst of the rain.
Shadow looked to the sky, to him the rain was warm, like a nurturing nuzzle from his mother. "Why do I feel this? others shy from the rain, hide themselves." He thought to himself. twitching his ear he felt Evie standing against him, trying to block the rain even more.
"Why do not like the rain?" Shadow said, blowing the water off his nose.
Evie twiched her ears, the question was very sincere, almost foal-like. "I dont mind it, just dont like it in my face." She felt a soft sigh, "you must enjoy it, standing like that."
Shadow looked back, her mane dripping wet, rain sliding off of her. "I, I have always liked the rain." He felt silly, taking about it now. "We can move to the tree line, it seems to be coming down harder now."
