Description

This is a scene recreation homage to one of my favorite Hellboy fights from back in the before time. Not bad, but it'd take a few goes to really figure out the needed spot-blacks and texture-thresholds for this universe. An artist could get lost in this brilliant world.

Factoids:

- Since parts of Cola's gear in WBY were an influential nod to Mignola, in this drawing I gave Hellboy one of her hip pouches. This is how I entertain myself, people.

- This took me 13 minutes to complete. Start to finish. I'm fucking awesome like that.

- Mignola anatomy is fun to play with. Infectious.

- Haven't drawn a Hellboy drawing since 2002. It was my first paid gig in comics -- A five page story in the Hellboy Resource Manual by Steve Jackson Games. I did a few spot illustrations in that sucker, as well. That job basically launched my career.

- Protect your neck.
