*bigger file updatei just thought that if cupid grows up he would look like this...the god of love probably invented the "love at first sight" anyway one of my most favorite myth is the love story of cupid and psyche ^^
i wanted the look of an old painting...i havent painted something like this in a million years, maybe last when i was in college, i used to paint a lot of mythology themed stuff back then, anyway thanks so much to purveyor-stock for being absolutely beautiful [link] i painted over his photo, and every strand of his hair/brows/lashes is lovingly rendered

hehe thank you. it's all done in photoshop, i didn't use any special brushes, just set them less than 100% opacity to give a layered effect like traditional oils. If you look closely you will see lots of underpainting
