This image gets 1 of my 5 votes in XtremeFractals' Spiral Contest. This image can be characterized as possessing simple elegance. The swirl has a nice inward rotation to its centerpoint, which is slightly to the right and down from the center of the frame. The choice of greyscale enforces the simple elegance of the image. The end of each swirls tucks securely into itself, much like a bird might tuck its head into its body, thus imparting a subtle sense of warmth and security to an image that might otherwise have been rather stark. Lastly, the spiral is framed at its outer edge by leaves or petals, thus imparting to the overall object a sense of "flower-ness". This spiral flower is quite unique. -- Richard
