Description
Watership Down characters, part 6/6.I put in this picture all the characters that didn't fit in my other little cathegories.
I drew four images of Holly: the first one as he's in the beginning of the movie, the second one as he appears after Efrafans have beaten the shit out of him, third one from the seasons 1 and 2 of the series and fourth one from season 3.
Blackavar doesn't seem to appear in season3, so I didn't draw a third design of him; only the movie version and season1/2 version.
I didn't want to draw any non-rabbits from the movie (dog, cat) or series (badger, hawk). But Kehaar was an important character and I decided to draw him. I also did Hannah the mouse who is seen as Kehaar's pal in the TV series.
There are still some rabbit characters I didn't draw:
-Primrose's kids. They were too confusing; their names and appearance and number kept changing.
-Buttercup. I hadn't seen the episode with her when I was doing these.

Does blackavar still die in the series? I liked him a lot in the movie.

Hello! I love your drawings of the rabbits, all of them are really great <3
Did you colour-pick from screenshots, or just do it based on making them look right?

Why does it surprise you that the number of a rabbit's kits keeps changing?

When I first read Watership Down, I thought Holly was a girl because of his feminine name.

I don't understand why Blackavar didn't get the ripped ears in the series as this was his distinguishing feature and he was the most extreme example of the cruelty and discipline of Efrafa. I liked him better in the book/movie.

What the heck did they do to Blackavar!?
And what's with the mouse? True, there was a mouse that Hazel rescued but it never met Kehaar! The children series has completely ruined the book =_=

I've seen the Watership Movie. For some reason, I like Bigwig best. Maybe because he's different, and I like characters like that. Fiver was cute too
BTW, does anyone know that Kehaar in the WD series is voiced by the same guy who does Prince Froglip, the main villain and prince of Goblins in the Princess and the Goblin movie? It's true, their voice actor is Rik Mayall.

Kehaar! I love Kehaar, always have. I liked his movie version better. >x> They killed his accent and left out his flyinng theme in the series, which really added to his character.

I really don't quite understand why they cleaned up Blackavar so much for the series. I mean, pretty much the whole point of his character was that the Efrafan council owninated him and put him on display as "an example".
Also, if you look at my username and my avatar, you'll probably understand why I find the concept of the series having a mouse named Hannah a little trippy.

Heres some news you might like. I read the book Watership Down quite recently.
The death of Blackavar is a serious edit on the film, trying to improve it. But in the original book storyline, Blackavar was never killed!
So, Blackavar is not really dead to the true story.

I didn't really care for Primrose in the tv series... as far as I was concerned, she was a cheap replacement for Hyzenthley, which I never understood why they didn't draw her in the cartoon. Also wasn't crazy about the fact that Blackberry was a girl and Hazel and Fiver stole his/her markings, such as the black ears like it said in the book. And cartoon Blackavar looks kind of... yeah.
Anyway... You did a wonderful job on the comparisons. I looked at pretty much all of them, and I love your drawing style Great job!

The tv series is a spinoff and remake of the movie. It doesn't follow the events of the movie - it retells them up to the eighth episode of the tv series. Episodes 9 to 39 are all made up by the writers.
