Actually, this is neither a cocktail, nor was it done for the customer I'm always working for. Nethertheless, I add it to my cocktail series, becuase it's connected very much to it (view the link below for futher information).

My beloved collegue and friend at work, Huiwen, always told me how much she liked my paintings. She always requested prints of my cocktails and collected them. Also, she supported me in drawing. Somethimes she told me what to do better or what to add/ exchange. Sometimes she just told me how much she appreciates my work. And often she asked for a picture for herself. Instead of a cocktail, she always wished for a huge sundae with tropical fruits.
So, I thought no one else deserved on of my pictures more than her. Therefor, I put much effort in drawing to fullfill her wish.
I worked over two months on that picture. Having decided to return to Berlin in autumn, I wanted it to be also a gift to make the good-bye easier for her.
At first, I hadn't a clue how to start with it. I tried out several glasses, but often I just erased them after half an hour of drawing. When I finallly found a glass that would fit, I had trouble going on. What to do next? Which frutis and sweets to choose?
Because she requested a tropical sundae, I searched for references of such fruits on the internet. In fact, I barely eat tropical fruits, so I didn't even knew the names of them....
I collected many fruits that could fit for the picture. While drawing this picture, I added more and more of them. Sometimes, I deleted certain fruits. Either I didn't like them anymore, or they were just too hard to draw XD
It was fun do to the starfruit and the kiwi. I don't know how, but they turned out great Compared to that, I had much trouble drawing the cream with sirup. It was horrible! To make it "prettier" I placed little chocolate stars on it. My friend loved it and so do I XD
I failed with the dragonfurit, but at some point you just loose the motivation.... after this long time I just had to admit, that I could go on drawing forever. My boyfriends finally said, that there are enough calories in this picture to kill an elefant. I guess he's right XD
I have to underline that none of the elements in the picture were copied from other artwork I did before. I thought Huiwen would apprecaite this exclusivity.
Hm, I didn't decided what scoops of ice cream I added. What would you suggest?
When I was finally done, I printed this picture at work (while she had her day off) and framed it (size: 60x40 cm).
I guess she liked the suprise the next day. I placed the frame at her desk and changed her desktop background with it. Sadly, I was sick this day, so I couldn't see her reaction. But she's taken the picture home and her desktop background is still the same
