The WendigoA beast thought to be of myth is in fact much more than fiction. Despite the alias, this is no ordinary Wendigo derived of legend. It is said to be a collision of dreadful beasts of myth, such as the ahuizotl, wendigo, boogeyman, and more. This particular creature is unknown in it's species—be it a beast that bleeds or a spirit, but villages have said it heaved itself out of the pits of hell simply terrorize those in it's midst. When given a description from locals it is often said that it "is half beast, half man" and is known to "maraud camps, cities, and villages—particularly targeting young children between the ages of three and eight years old." It is said to steal them into the night in it's many arms or tail to devour them alive, leaving the heads behind for the family to find the following morning. It has no real coordinated attack pattern, rather, ravages through villages with it's massive frame, colliding into large animals like horses and bulls with a force to kill, and hitting houses and humans with this same runaway freight train strength. He stands about 6'0" without measurement of it's horns, and warning signs of this beast's approach is the echoing laughter of children, sudden chilled air, chattering teeth and a very distorted roar-bark.

Cultural namesBeing a beast derived of of lore, it is not under one simple name. This creature seems to appear all over different cultures. Here are some of it's many aliases:

• Wendy Darling
• The Transylvanian Devil
• The Wendigo
• The Boogeyman
• Red Death
• Xolotl
and many more throughout the world.

Physical appearance• This is not a dog.
• Face is white/lighter compared to body color.
• "Dripping" striped markings on neck and base of tail.
• Top prong on left horn is broken.
• Has "thumbs" on back feet.
• This beast may seem ghostly, but he is not intangible.
• He does not have a wet dog nose, his nostrils are slitted.
• The arms come out of ventral ports along the rib cage, and are optional. These arms are said to be the angered spirits of those it devoured. These arms are generally only out when terrorizing another being or are put to use to wield the weapons on it's back, which are also optional.
• These same arms can twist, dislocate, and break to wield weapons a certain way, as can the tail.
• Teeth are wedge shaped.
• Eyes occupying the body and palm of his hand-tail can be opened or closed.
• Very rarely closes it's mouth, seems to have a stoic "grin" on it's face all the time. Not smiling (though he can), but the sense of grinning there upon it's maw.
• Blood is tar-like, thick, and coal/black colored.
• Human-esque arms go from robust, manly (main arms) womanly, dainty (first optional pair) and child-like, small (third optional pair).
• The tail's vertebrae can be "inhaled" so to speak, meaning the beast can shorten it's length to pull in prey.
• The tail in combat rarely uses weapons. The sheer force and muscle in the prehensile tail is used for smashing, crushing, and grappling. He can slam tons of weight down into the palm of the tail, even going as far as to support his entire body weight under it for a brief moment. • Because he has so many colors (mostly gradients and blends) it was very difficult for me to provide you guys with proper color codes. Just do it to the best of your ability, and color pick here and there around the image until it looks accurate or is to your liking.
• You can draw ANY kind of weapons impaled in him, though if you do draw the weapons I fancy the halberg with the crowned flag on his reference. Reference for the end blade piece: img3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20… It is simply curved, like a cutlass.

DO NOT ATTACK"It just... seemed to smile at us, no matter what we impaled it with—one of the many hands ready on the halberg we stabbed it with. It feels no pain. No remorse. No mercy."

Many villages warn their neighboring occupants to not attack this beast with weapons, because it seems to pull the very blades and arrows from where it was assaulted and use them against you. Sometimes it has been spotted lagging about, laughing to itself, parading about with the impaled weapons all throughout it's back, as if out of enjoyment.

It's gazeBurning red orbs glare through the deep pits in it's skull, seeming to freeze humans in fear when they gaze into them for too long. The same effect can be seen with the eyes throughout it's body, especially the tail with the triangular blue pupil. (generally the beast is in motion so eye-contact is difficult... unless a victim is caught, and held down.) As for the mark on it's forehead, little is known of what meaning it holds, but legend says it gives the beast it's power. Many villages have tried to burn the beast in hopes of damaging the sigil, as well as slicing it from it's face, but it seems to do nothing. Others say it is simply the mark of the devil, or the mark of the beast itself and holds no power. For now, it is a mystery.

Teleportation"Why can't I keep my dolly, papa?" she asked her father, tears swelling in her eyes. The father threw the well-kept dollies into he pit of the fire, and wailed a wretched response, "because the boogeyman is coming...!"

The wendigo can teleport to any place within reason, and he does so through children's dolls to silently gain access to homes. Family's without children are generally safer (but not completely safe) than the rest. The beast will emerge through the doll itself to make for an easily grabbed child owner. Once he has manifested a body through teleportation, he can not do so again until killed. Often, the beast will brutally take it's own life (break his own neck, sever his own head, etc) if need be to teleport once again. Reference: fourth image down in the image below.

Final NoteI came across a design that is slightly similar to this one and because this artist is popular, I'd like to annotate I've been working on this character for many months and even have uploaded wips (the wendigo teaser and more even more months back) long before their character was uploaded online and can provide any documentation if needed. Of course I am not accusing the artist of anything, they are very original, but coincidences happen. This is more for my safety because I feel like I'd be more likely to be targeted as I am the less "popular." This guy is based off of an aztec dog with a hand for a tail (ahuizotl), as well as dark souls inspiration. That is all. uwu
