Her eyes beautiful an yes they do have pain in them, but that is what makes this picture perfect. She has beauty but she has suffering eyes that is real beauty. For being perfect is about everything you've gone through to perfect yourself into an awesome picture. Nice work

Great use of lighting and composition.
The model did well - beautiful hair and face, the reflection in her eyes is intriguing.

This is a gorgeous shot. I love how the skin, lips, hair and fur all have really warm, reddish tones to them, and then there's the splash of blue and green on her eyes. The make-up and model are beautiful in an unconventional way, but that is what makes this such a memorable piece.
Congratulations on the DD .

Hm ...
I don't know why this became a DD :/
There's nothing special about her. She's neither ugly nor pretty. It's just a normal shot of a person
Also I can't tell whether it's the makeup but it seems that she's cross-eyed ... it's not that it looks bad. I just noticed it.
A little more or less details would ameliorate this pic
That's all. From my point of view an undeserved DD.

You quite obviously have no idea what really goes into a photograph. It doesn't have to be some extraordinary person with a half inch waist and a perfect face - in fact, the better essences are always captured with the true 'grit' of real life when it comes to cameras, and I don't know about you, but I would much rather see a well-taken picture of a "normal person" than some superficial Barbie or overly-hot guy without a personality. You can look into this woman's eyes and see something... And that's what makes it spectacular.

Sorry, but did I mention that I like to look at photos of supermodels and very pretty people or something? I said that I do not see anything special here. That does NOT mean that I find it ugly (if you had read my comment properly, you might have noticed it).
I admit that it can be a gorgeous pic.
But not/for/me.
If you feel offended, then I am sorry but that is my opinion.

You need to learn how to be more objective, especially since comments are TEXT-BASED. I don't know if you could tell, but I can't exactly gather any of that through what you said and how you put any of your sentences. Not to mention putting the face ":/" after everything doesn't make anyone want to reason with you. >>

"She's neither ugly nor pretty. It's just a normal shot of a person."
As I said. She is NOT ugly.
If you want to argue her beauty out with me, then you're barking up the wrong tree because I never said so.
I would have understood your reaction if I had said "She's fucking ugly and the photographer sucks ass.".
But I didn't.
If you meant something else entirely, then forget all the stuff I just wrote.
I only said my piece and it doesn't make any sense to make mountains out of molehills.

And I said my piece too. You're the one who suggests I'm arguing.

Not really fair to whine about it getting a DD in the comments. It wasn't the artist's decision to feature themselves, it was ^Kaz-D 's. By commenting on a piece, you are directly contacting the artist. Therefore A critique on the photograph would have been totally fine but to complain about something they had no control over is disrespectful and unfair.
FAQ #873: What do I do when I disapprove of a Daily Deviation feature?

Mayiay In reply to Sarky-Sparky [2011-10-08 13:47:47 +0000 UTC]
I feel kinda pissed now because nobody seems to "read" my comments.
Sorry, but I don't want to answer to this. It's no use anyway.

Sarky-Sparky In reply to Mayiay [2011-10-08 14:06:23 +0000 UTC]
Fact: You said in your comments that the picture doesn't deserve a DD.
Fact: You aren't supposed to do that, as evidenced in the handy link I provided you. "Just myu opinion" doesn't come into it. You are not supposed to say it, end of.
Fact: You reply to me to tell me you aren't going to answer me? Redundant and silly.

This image is so striking and captivating, she holds your attention in her gaze and doesn't let you go. I love how the whole thing is very matte and muted while still being fiery. It's a very serene image, and she looks far away, like she's off in her own world.
All in all, a very beautiful photo, and well deserving of a DD.

This is such a beautiful photo of a very beautiful lady. Her eyes are so expressive and full of mystery. Her facial features all make her unique and otherworldly. She's someone who could portray a goddess from ancient myths so easily. A very well deserved DD.
