Welp... I can't believe it but I finally made a new reff sheet for my fursona, Akasha! I have kept this design as my fursona for quite some time, years in fact! I think I was probably like 13 or 14 when I came up with her and I am currently 22 years old. It feels so good to draw her; it's been awhile! I feel like this is the first decent reff sheet I have ever made for her and for once, I am very happy with it. To celebrate 8 years with this gal, I thought I would show you her evolution over time and explain why her design is the way it is bellow.

Birthday: August 19th
Gender: Female
Species: a cross between a wolf and Siberian husky

Personality: Akasha is a generally happy-go-lucky kind of girl who finds joy and amusement in even the most simple things. She tends to be random and a bit of a weirdo at times, especially around her friends. It isn't in her nature to ever be rude or unkind towards anyone and likes to make new friends when ever the opportunity arises. She cares deeply for people and strives to make them happy whenever she can; wanting to show people that there is still a lot of good things in this world. Positivity is always present in her attitude; she likes to be optimistic and strongly believes that things will go her way if she is patient. She is extremely loyal and trusting but not naive.

Likes: Playing or hiding in the snow, any snow-related activities, or listening to the rain. She loves the colors neon green, grey, and white... and purple too! Enjoys the shinier things in life like quarters and the sun. Has a obsession with clouds and will often be seen staring at the sky. Likes to eat a lot, especially cold stuff like popsicles, ice cream, frozen yogurt, and even frozen fruit. Needs to eat meat most days or her sassy attitude will be unleashed upon the world. Likes reading an writing, oh and drawing of course!

Akasha's History:

2007 Probably the closest thing I have to a first reffsheet. This is one of the first drawings I did of her. I wanted to have a design that was simple that I could draw over and over again without getting a headache. When doodling around, I knew that I love white, I loved neon green, and I was obsessed with Naruto (I still kind of am), so I combined those three things and BAM! Akasha was born! There are a couple of reasons why I made her white, mostly because it is the color of purely fallen snow, blank paper, and it's beautiful. I still like this drawing! lol

2007 still Okay, I absolutely hate this reff! I was going through an awkward faze in my art style during this time where I was drawing my canines super anorexic with huge hippo muzzles. Eww! XC For some reason I felt like it was necessary to add items that I had in real life to her design. I really hate my art from this time period. Where the hell did I go wrong?!

2008 Here you can see that I have taken the anorexia to an insane new level. She looks like she is dying of illness in this reffsheet! XD lol Why did no one tell me that my anatomy was such crapola?! ;_; Oh well.

2010 for the first time, I felt like I needed a fursona that actually looked like me. I so gave her my middle name and my hair color. Again I added things I had from real life, I have no idea why. I guess I thought it would be cool but no. No it wasn't.

2011 Decided to go back to Akasha's original design after like a month. After that, for a period of a whole year, Akasha took off her green headband and put on a yellow ribbon. It was to support her mate to come home safe from his military deployment! I didn't have a real reff for her at this time.

2011 still Last but not least, here was my most recent reff for Akasha. During this time, I only thought my art was worth something if it was realistic. I struggled during this time, wanting to draw cartoony but I wanted to improve my understanding of anatomy. It just didn't feel right but I made her a realistic reffsheet because it had been so long and I had moved accounts. It was a depressing time for me and I made her color from pure white, to pale beige? Probably because it was easier to add shadows to beige rather than pure white

Present- I am finally comfortable with my artistic ability to draw! I feel like I have improved a great deal and I reverted Akasha completely back to her very first design. This is the style I always intended for her to be in; with eyebrows! lol
