This is lovely! I really admire the tone - on examination, there isn't much contrast or variation in shade, but the dark blocks still lend it a drama and emotional strength. The shapes are well-defined enough that the uniform palette doesn't obscure them. I'm a bit less sure about the composition, though - I'm not sure what the space at the bottom or right is there to do, but it mostly seems to throw the eye off the figures. The negative space between the figures is so interesting but gets a bit lost in the swathes of blue outside them. That said, it does contribute to the 'drowning' effect created by the blues and the dripping lines coming from the top left. Regarding the texture, I love that as well - the effect where it's sort of smooth and watery at the figures, then coarsens out towards the edges, is subtle and very well executed. Overall, I really like this piece!
